Rajasthan and Haryana have inked a historic pact to bring Yamuna water to the arid Shekhawati region via a 300-km pipeline. This long-awaited agreement, hailed as a triumph of cooperative federalism, will finally allow Rajasthan to utilize its allocated share of water, ensuring drinking water security for millions. The ambitious project, costing over Rs 34,000 crore, also aims to recharge groundwater reserves.
