‘Beaten with rods, pit bulls deterred escape’: Rescued bonded labourers reveal horror of captivity in UP factory

Twelve bonded labourers were rescued from a disposable bowls factory in Muzaffarnagar after enduring months of confinement, brutal beatings with iron rods, and threats from guard dogs. Survivors recounted being lured with job promises, only to have their phones confiscated and families cut off. Police are investigating allegations of a thirteenth labourer’s murder and the factory owner’s whereabouts.
