‘Iran posed no threat’: Trump’s counterterror chief Joe Kent resigns, cites Israel ‘pressure’

A top counterterrorism official, Joe Kent, resigned, stating Iran posed no imminent threat and the US-Iran conflict was driven by Israeli pressure and misinformation. Kent, who served as director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), announced his decision saying, after much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position effective today.
