Parliament likely to take up Bill to codify IPS deputation in CAPFs this session
The Bill intends to codify the functioning of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and is in response to a May 2025 Supreme Court ruling that asked the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to “progressively reduce” the deputation of IPS officers
