The King Cobra, found in South and Southeast Asia, is the world’s longest venomous snake. It belongs to the Ophiophagus genus, meaning ‘snake eater’. A King Cobra captured in Malaysia in 1937, was the longest recorded. The snake was displayed at the London Zoo. The female King Cobra builds and guards nests.
