In Udaipur, Nanuram Khatik, a meat shop owner, was fatally beaten. Four men wanted food on credit, but Nanuram refused. The men, allegedly drunk, attacked him with stones and sticks. Nanuram’s son was locked in a room during the assault. Police arrived and took Nanuram to the hospital, but he died.
