Scientists uncover ‘root cause’ of Alzheimer’s disease in breakthrough study

New research suggests that the formation of stress granules, clumps of proteins and RNA under stress, is a potential root cause of Alzheimer’s disease. These granules affect biological processes, such as cell survival and gene expression, leading to key Alzheimer’s markers like tau tangles and inflammation.
