Air Canada plane catches fire on landing hours after South Korea crash; airport shut

Air Canada Flight 2259 experienced a landing gear malfunction at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, causing it to skid and partially catch fire. Passengers and crew were safely evacuated without casualties. This incident occurred shortly after a deadly Jeju Air crash in South Korea that claimed over 120 lives. Investigations are underway for both accidents.
