A Jaipur court ordered Jaipur Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited to compensate a five-year-old girl ₹99 lakh for injuries caused by a high-tension power line. The girl’s arms were amputated due to the incident in March 2015. The compensation, with accrued interest, will be used for her treatment, rehabilitation, and future care. Upon reaching 21, she can withdraw ₹25 lakh.
