Poland gets $4 billion US loan for defence purchases, minister says

Poland secured a $4 billion loan from the US foreign military financing program to bolster its armed forces. This adds to over $11 billion in US support for Polish armament programs, including Patriot and Apache systems. Driven by the war in Ukraine, Poland’s 2024 defense spending will reach 4.1% of GDP, rising to 4.7% in 2025.
