Who is Naim Qassem? Hezbollah leader who allegedly fled to Tehran amid fear of assassination

Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary-General, Naim Qassem, has taken refuge in Tehran after fleeing Lebanon due to fears of assassination by Israel. Qassem departed Beirut on October 5 on an Iranian aircraft. Following Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s death, Qassem has delivered speeches from both Beirut and Tehran. Israel continues to target Hezbollah leaders.
